1. Overview
At Devikon Inc., we respect your right to control your business and personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can delete data from POPOS.
Key Point: ALL your business data in POPOS is stored locally on your device. We do not store any of your business data on our servers. Deletion is entirely within your control.
2. Locally Stored Data
POPOS stores all business data locally on your device, including:
- Customer information (names, phone numbers, addresses)
- Employee data (names, contact, attendance, payroll)
- Order and transaction history
- Payment records (cash, card, UPI references)
- Menu, categories, and inventory
- Vendor and supplier information
- Daily market data
- Expense records
- Restaurant settings and printer configuration
3. Before You Delete — Export First
Restaurant data often has legal retention requirements (tax filings, audit trails, employment records). Before deleting or uninstalling, use POPOS's built-in export tools if you need to retain records:
- Open POPOS and go to Settings → Backup
- Choose Export Data and select the modules you want to back up (orders, payments, employees, etc.)
- Save the exported file to your device storage, cloud drive, or share via email
You should keep these exports for as long as your local tax and labour laws require.
4. Deleting Specific Records
Within POPOS you can delete individual records (one customer, one order, one employee) directly from each module's list view — open the record and select Delete. This removes the record from the local database immediately.
5. Deleting All POPOS Data
To wipe all POPOS data from your device, you have three options:
- In-app reset: Settings → Advanced → Clear All Data (irreversible — confirms before wiping)
- Android system clear: Settings → Apps → POPOS → Storage → Clear Data
- Uninstall: Long-press the POPOS app icon and choose Uninstall — this removes the app and all of its local data
6. Anonymous Telemetry
POPOS sends anonymous Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance, and Sentry telemetry. This data is not tied to you personally. To stop new telemetry, uninstall POPOS — telemetry already collected will be retained by the upstream service per its own retention policy.
7. Deletion Requests
If you have submitted feedback through this website (which may include your email address) and you would like that feedback record deleted, submit a request below or email us. Include the email address you used to submit the feedback.
Important: This Action is Irreversible
Once submitted, your account will be deactivated immediately and all personal data will be permanently deleted within 48 hours. This action cannot be undone.
